Did you watch Halt and Catch Fire? Been in love with MacKenzie Davies since. Great, great show. Also, has a wonderful soundtrack of early 80s punk/new wave stuff.
"Breaking Fast" by Mike Mosallam has been making the film festival rounds, and I'm happy to report that it is a holiday movie that isn't about how the character is queer! It's extremely cheesy and very 90's rom com, so although it isn't a major motion picture, it does have a major motion picture vibe. My favourite part is that it introduces a totally untapped potential romantic movie trope: it's set during Ramadan, so you have built in tension and built in resolution of tension at the end.

Sure did! That's where I first saw her on TV I think. That soundtrack really sealed the deal.
